Waqf Board team attacked during eviction drive, employee injured

A Punjab Waqf Board eviction team was attacked by residents in Jassian, Haibowal, on July 29 during a court-ordered eviction.

Board employee Mohammad Adnan, a rent collector, was injured and officials retreated.

An FIR was registered against Manpreet Singh, Harjeet Singh Cheema, Narendra Singh, Gurpreet Singh alias Guri, Pawan Mann alias Babla, and unidentified persons.

The accused were booked under BNS Sections 132, 221, 115(2), 126, and 351.
