BJ Medical student missing for 14 days; family alleges ragging, college denies charge

Tanmay Vange, a first-year MBBS student at B.J. Medical College (BJMC), has been missing for 14 days since July 18.

CCTV showed Vange boarding a Solapur-bound train at Pune railway station; his phone was off after Loni Kalbhor, with brief internet activity on July 21 and 23.

NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar raised the issue on X, demanding police action and an inquiry.

BJMC Dean Dr Eknath Pawar says the family only filed a missing person report on July 20 and raised ragging allegations on July 27, suggesting they were misled.
