Heavy rain inundates Rajasthan; red alert in two districts, train services hit

Heavy rainfall lashed Rajasthan, with Pachpadra in Balotra district and Amet in Rajsamand recording 9 cm each in 24 hours.

The India Meteorological Department issued a red alert for Banswara and Dungarpur districts and orange alerts for nine districts.

Train services on the Mumbai route were suspended due to rising water levels near Bridge No. 203 between Gholvad and Umargam Road stations.

Three trains (Bandra Terminus-Jaisalmer, Dadar-Bhagat Ki Kothi, Bandra Terminus-Ajmer) were cancelled on July 24.

Heavy rain inundated agricultural fields in Hanumangarh, Sri Ganganagar, Beawar, Bhilwara, and Udaipur, and the Som and Mahi rivers are flowing in spate.
