Man killed over extramarital affair, buried under house floor in Rae Bareli

Amit Raidas (26) was strangled to death by Ram Prakash Paswan (31) in Pure Rajau Majre village, Rae Bareli district, over an alleged extramarital affair.

Paswan allegedly buried Raidas's body under the earthen floor of a house, covered it with bricks, and plastered over it to conceal the crime.

The crime came to light after villagers noticed a foul smell from the house and alerted village head Akhilesh Yadav, who informed police.

Police excavated the floor and recovered the decomposed body, which was sent for post-mortem to determine the exact cause and time of death.

Rita Paswan (29), Ram Prakash's wife, was reportedly in a relationship with Amit and has a three-year-old daughter with him; she did not report the killing out of fear.
