4 killed in Assam factory blast; probe underway: Police

Four persons died in an explosion at Kade Global Infrastructure LLP's metal processing unit in Pangram, Cachar district, Assam.
The deceased were identified as Appu Boraik, Kiron Munda, Shyamal Gaur, and Sagar Nath, all dying on the spot.
The explosion occurred around 11am and was heard across the locality, with bodies torn apart and scattered.
A four-layer investigation is underway: police, magisterial, and district labour commissioner probes, plus an inquiry by Assam minister Kaushik Rai.
Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced ₹5 lakh compensation for each deceased's family.
