'My manager made an employee run his LinkedIn account': Reddit post raises workplace ethics questions

A Reddit user claimed their manager, the Director of Marketing, assigned a team member to run his personal LinkedIn account using company time.

The manager allegedly shared confidential company information, including hiring and firing details, on LinkedIn via the employee-managed account.

The employee who managed the account was fired, and later the manager asked the Reddit user to help build his profile for a personal networking event.

The Reddit user also alleged the manager favors vendors from his personal network, charging above-market rates despite a $1 million marketing budget and finance team cost-reduction requests.
