FIFA unveils World Cup 2026 Team of the Tournament

FIFA's World Cup 2026 Team of the Tournament includes three Spain players (Pedro Porro, Marc Cucurella, Rodri), three from France, two from Argentina, and one each from England, Norway, and Cape Verde.

Spain's centre-backs Pau Cubarsi and Aymeric Laporte, who anchored the tournament's best defence, were omitted; FIFA chose France's Dayot Upamecano and Argentina's Lisandro Martinez instead.

Unai Simon, Spain's goalkeeper who won the Golden Glove with seven clean sheets and just one goal conceded, was excluded; Cape Verde's Vozinha was selected as goalkeeper.

Lionel Messi (8 goals, 4 assists) and Kylian Mbappe (10 goals, 4 assists, Golden Boot) headline the attack, joined by Norway's Erling Haaland.

Spain won the World Cup 2026, defeating Argentina 1-0 in extra time; Rodri won the Golden Ball as best player.
