Construction firm owner booked after worker falls to death at Panvel site

year-old labourer Uttamkumar Krishnaram Yadav fell to his death from the fifth floor of Shanti Skyra Building in Harigram, Panvel on Wednesday at around 3pm.

Yadav was allegedly made to work without adequate safety equipment by Infotech Construction Company.

The victim's wife, Vijayalakshmi Yadav, lodged a complaint alleging failure to provide mandatory safety measures.

Panvel Taluka police booked the owner of Infotech Construction Company under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita provisions for causing death by negligence and endangering human life.

No arrest has been made as of Friday.
