Kedarnath Yatra resumes after landslide blocks trek route; IMD issues alert

Kedarnath Yatra resumed after a five-hour halt due to a rain-triggered landslide near Chirbasa helipad in Rudraprayag district.

The trekking route was cleared for foot pilgrims at around 1 pm, but mule and horse services remained suspended.

IMD issued an orange alert for heavy rain in Uttarakhand.

Another boulder fall near Gaurikund caused a temporary halt, but the route was cleared immediately.

Yamunotri Highway near Sayana Chatti was restored after debris clearance from a landslide.
