Uttarakhand: Fake medicines, packaging material seized in Dehradun raid

Uttarakhand food safety and drug administration seized suspected counterfeit medicines, packaging material, and manufacturing equipment during a raid at a house in Dehradun's East Hope Town area.

Medicines bearing names of Intas, MacLeods, and Dr Reddy’s, including Gabapin-100, Zoryl M2, and Cefolac-200, were recovered.

The raid was conducted with the Uttar Pradesh Drug Control Department and local police to probe an alleged inter-state counterfeit medicine network.

Senior drug inspector Manendra Singh Rana and drug inspector Vinod Jagudi are initiating legal proceedings; suspects are being questioned.
