FBI's 'most wanted' suspect in $32 million Covid fraud arrested in Jamaica: Kash Patel

Elaine Angene Escoe, indicted in 2025 on charges including wire fraud and money laundering, was extradited from Jamaica to the US after arrest.

Escoe allegedly orchestrated a scheme fraudulently obtaining over $32 million in Covid-19 relief funds from PPP, RRF, SVOG, and EIDL programs.

She lived under the alias 'Harley Newman' in Jamaica after a federal arrest warrant was issued in May 2025.

FBI Director Kash Patel announced Escoe's capture as the fourth 'Most Wanted Fraudster' arrested in five weeks.

Five co-defendants have already been convicted or pleaded guilty; Escoe is the last remaining defendant in the alleged scheme.
