Duo booked for ‘sextorting’ ₹9.3L from Goregaon college student

A 21-year-old Goregaon college student met a woman identifying as Aahana on Snapchat, who persuaded him to send an obscene video.
The woman and her male accomplice threatened to circulate the video unless he paid ₹9.3 lakh in 55 installments between March 8 and July 25, 2026.
The student transferred the funds to various bank accounts provided by the duo under threat of reputational damage.
The Bangur Nagar police have booked the duo for extortion and offenses under the Information Technology Act.
The police are tracing the bank accounts and have launched an operation to arrest the accused.
