Ransom note issued to Savannah Guthrie in sister's case

Journalist Briana Whitney disclosed the initial ransom note for Nancy Guthrie on the Crime Junkie podcast.

The note, addressed to Savannah Guthrie, warned: 'Do not play games. Law enforcement will not be able to help you.'

The note demanded ransom for Nancy Guthrie's release, threatening her death if payment was not received by Monday the 9th at 5 p.m.

Law enforcement and the FBI have questioned the authenticity of this and subsequent ransom notes.

FBI Director Kash Patel expressed concern over delays in the FBI's involvement in the case.
