BMC announces 15% water cut for 20 hours from today

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will implement a 15% water cut for 20 hours from Tuesday morning.

The cut affects parts of Mumbai including the island city, western suburbs, and eastern suburbs.

The shutdown runs from 9am on July 28 to 5am on July 29 for maintenance at the Panjrapur pumping station.

BMC is replacing four ageing 6.6 kV high-tension control panels at the pumping station.

Water supply from Panjrapur Mumbai-3A Pumping Station to Bhandup Water Treatment Plant will be suspended.
