PMC Repairs 1,134 Potholes in Pune, Citizens Question Priority

in5points
PMC repaired 1,134 of the 1,188 potholes reported in Pune between July 7 and July 21, using cold-mix and hot-mix technology.
PMC launched a special drive to make roads along Union Home Minister Amit Shah's convoy route pothole-free ahead of his visit on Saturday.
Citizens criticized the timing, questioning why roads are repaired only when VIPs visit, while ordinary taxpayers continue facing damaged roads.
PMC also performed water drainage at 162 locations and used 857 square metres of murum and GSB material to strengthen damaged stretches.
Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram directed officials to ensure roads from Pune Airport to Maharshi Nagar are pothole-free, patch-free, clean, and encroachment-free on a war footing.
