Morgan Rogers completes club-record £117m Chelsea transfer from Aston Villa

Chelsea signed Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for a club-record £117 million.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder agreed to a six-year contract with an option for a further twelve months.

Rogers will become Chelsea's most expensive signing, surpassing the £107 million paid for Enzo Fernandez.

The fee also broke the English-player record of £116 million that Manchester City paid for Elliot Anderson.

Middlesbrough will receive at least £20.4 million from the sale due to a sell-on clause, believed to be an English record for a sell-on fee.
