At least 22 killed, including civilians, children, as Russia and Ukraine exchange attacks

At least 22 people were killed in fresh attacks across Russia and Ukraine, with civilian casualties reported on both sides.
In Russia, seven people including three children were killed in the Krasnodar region after drone debris fell on the resort village of Arkhipo-Osipovka; four deaths were reported in Russian-occupied Crimea, and four more in the Belgorod region.
In Ukraine, three people including an emergency response worker and his eight-year-old son were killed in a Russian strike on a petrol station in the Kryvyi Rih district of the Dnipropetrovsk region, and eight people including two children were killed in Zaporizhzhia.
Russian forces continued military operations and claimed territorial gains in eastern Ukraine, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy sought stronger US support, including for air defences.
US President Donald Trump has appeared to step back from an earlier commitment to grant Ukraine a licence to manufacture Patriot interceptor missiles.
