Passengers get full refund after erroneous rescheduling SMS

South Western Railway (SWR) announced a full fare refund for passengers who missed the KSR Bengaluru-Belagavi Vande Bharat Express after receiving a false SMS about rescheduling.

Passengers who opt for alternative travel will be provided reserved tickets on another train.

The false SMS, sent by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), claimed the train's departure was rescheduled from 2.20pm to 5.30pm, but the train departed on time.

At least 15 passengers were affected, according to passenger Dileep Kumar.

SWR stated that the train operated as scheduled and the technical issue behind the erroneous SMS is under investigation.
