Gurugram Sector 95 locals stage protest over 35% maintenance charge hike

Homeowners of the Signature Roselia affordable housing society in Gurugram Sector 95, Wazirpur, protested a 35% maintenance charge hike from ₹3.04 to ₹4.13 per sq ft.

The developer's maintenance agency issued the hike notice on July 23 and implemented it retrospectively from April 1, seeking around ₹3,000 per resident.

Residents demanded independent electricity meters, separate utility bills, transparency in accounts, and rollback of the revised charges.

The maintenance agency cited the Haryana government's minimum wage increase as justification, but protesters allege no transparency in wage distribution.

Residents also sought protection from utility disconnections while the dispute is unresolved; the district administration is expected to hear the matter.
