Bandh over NEET leak shuts schools, colleges in Telangana

Schools, colleges, and universities across Telangana were closed on July 25, 2026, due to a statewide bandh called by student organisations.
The bandh protested the alleged NEET-UG question paper leak and repeated irregularities in national-level entrance examinations.
Student groups including NSUI, SFI, AISF, PDSU, AIFDS, AISB, AIPSU, AISA, DYFI, AIYF and SIO backed the shutdown.
Protesters demanded the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan, stringent punishment for those involved in the paper leak, and withdrawal of cases against students.
The bandh led to examination postponements and was peaceful according to NSUI state president Yadavalli Venkataswamy.
