Jharkhand SIR: 4.37m may be dropped in draft rolls, over 7 lakh dead voters recorded

Jharkhand's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls concluded with 4.37 million forms uncollected, including 763,930 dead voters, 1.59 million permanently shifted, and 1.46 million absent or untraceable.

Ranchi recorded the highest number of dead voters at 94,463, followed by Dhanbad at 61,003, as of 8 pm Wednesday.

Draft electoral roll and ASDD (Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate) list will be published on August 5, with claims/objections accepted from August 5 to October 3.

CEO K Ravi Kumar stated the lists will be provided to recognized political parties in soft copy and to BLA-2 at polling stations in hard copy.
