Vipraj sees opportunity after being named India net bowler in SL

Leg spinner Vipraj Nigam, from Uttar Pradesh, has been named as a net bowler for India's Test series in Sri Lanka starting August 15.

Nigam's call-up follows his performance for India A in Sri Lanka, where he took seven wickets in two four-day matches and scored 51 off 49 balls.

The 22-year-old made his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh in October 2024 and has been recognized for his dual skills as an all-rounder.

Nigam was listed as an all-rounder after his IPL debut for Delhi Capitals in 2025, where he scored 39 off 15 balls and took a wicket.
