Soldier slips to death in J&K’s Rajouri

Rifleman Sukhpreet Singh, a 27-year-old Army jawan, died after slipping from a height near the LoC in J&K’s Rajouri district.

He was posted with JAK Rifles and on duty at Mahadev forward post in Sunderbani sector when he lost balance and fell.

The body was shifted to a hospital for post-mortem, and police launched inquest proceedings.

In a similar incident last month, Lt Beereshwar Goswami died after slipping from a ridge during Operation Sheruwali in Rajouri district.
