Elderly man knocked down by bus in Bengaluru

An 86-year-old man, Doreswamy of Malleswaram, was killed after being knocked down by a KSRTC bus in front of the RMC Yard police station on Tumakuru Road, Bengaluru.

The bus, registered KA-13-F-2362, was bound for Hassan district and allegedly speeding; Doreswamy was crossing the road when hit.

The bus driver tested negative in an alcometer test; passengers were shifted to other buses and the vehicle was seized.

Doreswamy's daughter filed a complaint against the bus driver; Yeshwantpur traffic police are investigating.
