Abhinav Mukund names 2027 World Cup squad; includes Rohit, excludes Samson

Former India opener Abhinav Mukund named his 15-man India squad for the 2027 ODI World Cup on ESPNcricinfo's YouTube channel.

Mukund included veteran opener Rohit Sharma but excluded Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma.

Shubman Gill is set to captain the squad, with batters including Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, and wicketkeepers KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan.

The pace attack is led by Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, with all-rounders Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, and Washington Sundar.
