Faridkot: Surgeon suspended after patient’s body found near cremation ground

Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital in Faridkot suspended a surgeon after an unidentified patient's body was found near the cremation ground's main gate.

The hospital ordered an internal inquiry, with a committee required to submit a report within a week on how the body ended up at the cremation ground.

The unidentified man was admitted on July 7 after Ferozepur police found him injured on a roadside; he died on Monday night in the surgery department.

The body was spotted by a person visiting a temple in the cremation ground complex, who informed Sahara Society president Ashok Bhatnagar.
