Suchitra Krishnamoorthi on co-parenting with ex-husband Shekhar Kapur: ‘He is the vacation dad, I’m responsible one’

Suchitra Krishnamoorthi described Shekhar Kapur as the 'vacation dad' and herself as the 'responsible one' in co-parenting their daughter Kaveri Kapur.

She stated that mothers and fathers play unique and equally important roles, and that children benefit from having both parents present if the relationship is amicable.

Krishnamoorthi revealed she rejected her strict upbringing and consciously chose to be a kind mother, to the point that her daughter Kaveri told her she needed to learn to say no.

Suchitra Krishnamoorthi and Shekhar Kapur married in 1999 despite a 30-year age gap and separated in 2007; they have continued co-parenting their daughter Kaveri.
