Kunal Kamra’s gigs moved from Whitefield to Koramangala after protests in Bengaluru

Kunal Kamra's Bengaluru shows were shifted from Whitefield's URU venue to The Underground Comedy Club in Koramangala after Hindutva groups objected.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti Karnataka and Hindu Rashtra Samanvaya Samiti sought cancellation of the shows, alleging Kamra mocked Hindu deities and hurt religious sentiments.

Kunal Kamra responded on X, inviting members of the groups to debate on comedy and culture at the Whitefield police station; he claimed no protesters showed up.

Koramangala police found no issue with the show's content and said no police permission was required, though organisers informed them in advance.

Kamra's August 3-6 performances are being held amid heavy police deployment; no official order has been issued to stop the shows.
