Unnati’s bronze lifts India’s judo tally

Unnati Sharma won India's sole judo medal on Day 2 of the Commonwealth Games, beating South Africa's Skye Knoester by ippon in the bronze playoff.

She defeated Saya Middleton in the quarterfinal but lost to her by ippon in the semifinal.

India's fourth judo medal at the Games follows golds from Asmita Dey and Harsh Singh and a silver from Yamini Mourya.

Takhellambam Inunganbi lost in the -70kg quarterfinal to Canada's Charlie Thibault and exited in repechage.

Karanjit Singh Maan lost his -90kg quarterfinal to Canada's Guillaume Gaulin and his repechage match to Scott Cusack.
