BTS withdrew its music from consideration for the 2027 Grammys after the introduction of a Best Asian Pop Music Performance category.

Harman Baweja called the new category 'a positive evolution' but said regional categories should be a bridge, not a ceiling.

Madhubanti Bagchi called it 'a good first step' but hopes an Asian pop record will win Record of the Year.

Suparn Verma welcomed the move, noting the Oscars have a similar category.
