Direct PhD entry now in Delhi University for four-year under graduates, but these are the conditions

in5points
Delhi University's Executive Council approved direct PhD entry for four-year undergraduate (FYUG) students under the Undergraduate Curriculum Framework (UGCF) 2022.
Eligibility requires a CGPA above 7.5, and the undergraduate research project or dissertation must be published in a Scopus-indexed journal.
Direct entry students must pursue the PhD under the supervision of the same faculty member who guided their undergraduate dissertation.
Students admitted via this route cannot take the NET exam, as a postgraduate degree is required.
An EC member opposed the proposal, citing lack of interview or entrance test, questioning the credibility of assessing research viability.
