Ludhiana: After failed talks with CMD, PSPCL contract staff seek government’s intervention

PSPCL outsourced employees met Punjab governor Gulab Chand Kataria seeking intervention after talks with CMD Basant Garg failed.

Governor assured no category of employees will face injustice; federation continues indefinite strike.

Federation said Punjab Power Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond had promised to bring outsourced workers in NCCs, CRCs, metering labs and stores under direct departmental contracts.

The promised notification has not been issued, leaving thousands of employees uncertain.

Federation also informed the governor that Punjab government is preparing legislation concerning outsourced employees.
