'Developing UAE cricket remains the DP World ILT20's biggest priority': David White

DP World ILT20 CEO David White says the league's biggest priority is developing UAE cricket, with local players learning from and competing alongside world-class cricketers.

Every ILT20 franchise is required to include UAE and Associate Members' players in its squad, creating meaningful roles for emerging talent.

Players like Muhammad Waseem, Khuzaima Tanveer, Junaid Siddique, Haider Ali, Ajay Kumar, and Muhammad Rohid have used the ILT20 to establish themselves in international cricket.

The league's first player auction before Season 4 showed franchises' confidence in homegrown players, with UAE players becoming match-winners and strengthening the national team.

Season 5 will be held in a November-December window, aiming to attract top international players while continuing to provide opportunities for UAE and Associate players.
