Itch.io was down for users on July 31, with Downdetector logging nearly a thousand complaints.

Users encountered Cloudflare error screen, host error, code 521.

The outage began around 8:16pm ET, Downdetector reported.

Itch.io's status page also showed error code 521, and the company had not commented as of writing.

Since the error is on the server side, user-end fixes are unlikely to resolve the issue.
