Goa: Class 10 plus ITI to be considered equivalent to Class 12

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced that Class 10 plus a two-year ITI course will be considered equivalent to Class 12.

Students will receive a Goa Board equivalency certificate granting academic recognition for higher studies and employment.

The government facilitated tie-ups between ITIs and colleges to enable vocational students to pursue higher education.

Reforms aim to give ITI students the same academic recognition as conventional stream students while enhancing employability.

Sawant highlighted skill development initiatives like Skill India Mission and National Education Policy 2020 as preparing youth for industry-relevant skills.
