21 Bangladesh nationals detained in J&K’s Ramban

Bangladesh nationals, including four women and seven minors, were detained in Ramban district, Jammu and Kashmir.

The group was caught moving in two vehicles during a checking drive in Banihal on Aug 1.

None of the detainees could produce valid identity or travel documents; they had crossed the border into India through Assam and traveled by train to Jammu.

Investigators are probing whether a local or interstate network facilitated the illegal entry and movement of the group.
