Full story →ED conducts searches in Bengaluru in IS recruitment and terror-funding case
ED conducted searches at eight locations in Bengaluru under PMLA, 2002, in a case linked to IS recruitment and terror-funding.
Incriminating electronic records and digital devices were seized; Rs 7.5 lakh in proceeds of crime were frozen.
The case is based on an NIA FIR involving Iqra Welfare Trust, Guidance for Mankind (GFM) Trust, and individuals in Bengaluru.
NIA arrested Irfan Nasir, Ahamed Abdul Cader, Dr Mohammed Tauqir Mahmood, and Zuhab Hameed Shakeel Manna; Mohammed Shihab is absconding.
The accused are alleged to have radicalised and recruited Muslim youth through Iqra Camp and Quran Circle, raised funds, and facilitated travel to Syria for IS.
