Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey' earned Rs 20.76 crore gross (Rs 17.40 crore net) on its opening day in India from 8,413 shows.
The English version contributed Rs 13.75 crore net, while Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil versions earned Rs 1.90 crore, Rs 1.10 crore, and Rs 65 lakh respectively.
IMAX screenings boosted numbers, with English IMAX 2D shows recording 73.86% occupancy.
The film achieved an overall occupancy of 48.7% despite its Adults Only (A) certification.
