Chandra Kumar Bose, grandnephew of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, resigned from the Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Monday, citing disillusionment with mainstream political parties.
Bose said he saw no difference between the BJP and the TMC, calling them 'two sides of the same coin', and plans to mentor a youth-led political platform based on Netaji's ideals.
Bose had joined the TMC in April ahead of the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections, after quitting the BJP in 2023 due to differences over the party's approach to inclusive nationalism.
