Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) invested Rs 20,200 crore in Indian equities in July 2026 after four months of outflows.
FPIs had withdrawn Rs 1.17 lakh crore in March, Rs 60,847 crore in April, Rs 32,963 crore in May, and Rs 49,340 crore in June.
Despite July inflows, FPIs remain net sellers in 2026 with total withdrawals of Rs 2.54 lakh crore, versus Rs 1.66 lakh crore in 2025.
V K Vijayakumar of Geojit Investments attributed the comeback to attractive valuations, improving earnings, and a shift from volatile markets like South Korea and Taiwan.
FPIs also invested Rs 29,2 crore in the Indian debt market during July, showing strong interest beyond equities.
