Delhi Traffic Police prohibited or restricted pilgrim movement on the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway during the Kanwar Yatra 2026.
The advisory states the expressway is not safe for Kanwar Yatris due to heavy vehicular traffic, citing risk to life and property.
Designated routes for pilgrims include Apsara Border–Shahdara Flyover Road–Seelampur T-Point–ISBT Flyover and Bhopura Border–Wazirabad Road–Loni Roundabout Flyover–Gokulpuri T-Point–66 Foota Road–Seelampur T-Point–NH-1–New ISBT Bridge.
The Kanwar Yatra runs from July 30 to August 11, 2026, with devotees traveling to Gaumukh, Gangotri Dham, and Haridwar to collect Ganga Jal.
