The US Embassy highlighted the delivery of another MH-60R Seahawk helicopter to the Indian Navy in Kochi, with two more arriving this week. This delivery boosts the US-India defence partnership and is part of a larger deal for 24 helicopters from Lockheed Martin.
Background
The MH-60R Seahawk is a multi-role naval helicopter used for anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, and search and rescue. India signed a deal with the US in 2020 for 24 MH-60R helicopters under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program.
