CDS Addresses 4th Tri-Service Future Warfare Course at Maneshow Centre

The fourth edition of the Tri-Service Future Warfare Course began on August 3, 2026, at the Maneshow Centre, New Delhi.

Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General N. S. Raja Subramani delivered the keynote address at the inaugural session.

CDS emphasized the changing nature of warfare and the increasing influence of emerging technologies on military operations.

He stressed the importance of anticipating future security challenges and developing capabilities to address them effectively across various operational domains.

CDS highlighted the growing role of Artificial Intelligence, cyber capabilities, autonomous systems, information warfare, space technology, and data-driven decision-making in shaping future wars.

He called for better coordination, integration, and collaboration among the armed forces, defence industry, academic institutions, and research organizations to strengthen national defence preparedness.

The four-week course is organized under the guidance of the Integrated Defence Staff Headquarters (HQ IDS).

Participants include officers from the three services, as well as representatives from government, defence industry, academic institutions, and strategic organizations.

The course will cover topics such as geopolitics, emerging technologies, cognitive and cyber warfare, multi-domain military operations, scenario building, and technology-based conflict.
