The Ministry of Ayush and IndiaAI have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote AI-driven innovation in the Ayush sector. This collaboration aims to strengthen research, digital health, and capacity building in traditional medicine systems. It marks a significant step towards integrating modern technology with India's traditional knowledge systems.
Background
IndiaAI is a mission under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to advance AI innovation. The Ayush sector encompasses traditional medicine systems like Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy. The MoU was signed on 31 July 2026 in the presence of senior officials from both ministries.

The MoU was signed between the Ministry of Ayush and IndiaAI, an initiative under MeitY.
