The National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB) under the Ministry of AYUSH is implementing a central sector scheme for conservation, development, and sustainable management of medicinal plants across India. The scheme provides support for various activities including training, supply chain strengthening, conservation, and livelihood linkages.

NMPB was established to promote medicinal plants sector in India. The central sector scheme aims to enhance cultivation, conservation, and marketing of medicinal plants, supporting farmers and local communities.
