The government reaffirmed its commitment to expanding educational opportunities for OBC, EBC, and DNT students under the PM-YASHASVI scheme. This was stated by Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Shri B.L. Verma, in a written reply in Lok Sabha.
Background
The Pradhan Mantri YUVA Uplabdhi Shiksha Yojana (PM-YASHASVI) is a central sector scholarship scheme aimed at providing financial assistance to students from OBC, EBC, and DNT communities to reduce financial barriers and promote inclusive quality education.
