The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs informed Lok Sabha that 22 state assemblies have established National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) service centres. This marks progress in digitising legislative processes under the Digital India initiative.
Background
NeVA is a mission-mode project under the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs to make all state legislatures paperless and efficient. It provides a unified platform for legislative documents and proceedings.

22 state assemblies have set up NeVA service centres (E-Suvidha Kendras) as of July 2026.
NeVA public portal is available in 23 languages, providing citizens online access to bills, questions, proceedings, and other legislative documents.
A capacity-building session for newly elected members of West Bengal Assembly was held on 4 July 2026 in Kolkata.
The information was given by Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal in a written reply in Lok Sabha.
