DAANVEER (DAANVEER) is a citizen participation initiative launched by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj on 29 July 2026.
It aims to address the shortage of computers in gram panchayats and strengthen local institutions through voluntary contributions.
The platform is transparent, fully digital, and verifiable, enabling citizens and institutions to contribute to identified technology and infrastructure needs of gram panchayats.
Donations can be made via the 'Meri Panchayat' mobile app, which is integrated with the DigiHat marketplace.
Donors can choose from pre-approved computer packages that meet state-specific technical standards.
The entire process from dispatch to installation can be tracked digitally, and donors receive a digital appreciation certificate.
The initiative is voluntary and operates with the tagline 'Apne Gaon Ko Lautayein' (Return to your village).
It was developed in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and DigiHat.
The launch event was attended by senior officials including Secretary Vivek Bhardwaj, Joint Secretaries Mukta Shekhar and Palka Sahni, and Director Vipul Ujjwal.
The initiative aims to make every gram panchayat digitally equipped, interconnected, and future-ready.
