Why in news
The Ministry of Law and Justice has announced the DISHA 2.0 scheme, a central sector initiative for 2026-31, to leverage technology for developing user-friendly legal service platforms and improving access. The scheme includes components like Tele-Law, Nyaya Bandhu, legal literacy programs, and VIDHI-Sanjeevani, with monitoring through a centralized dashboard. Background
DISHA 2.0 is the successor to the earlier DISHA scheme, focusing on comprehensive access to justice. It aims to use technology to enhance legal services delivery across India, including all districts of Gujarat.

It has four components: Tele-Law (free pre-litigation advice to all), Nyaya Bandhu (free legal services program), Legal Literacy and Legal Awareness Program, and VIDHI-Sanjeevani (Vision for Integrated Delivery of Harmonious Legal Initiatives).
Monitoring will be done via a centralized integrated dashboard named VIDHI-Sanjeevani, regular review meetings, field visits, regional workshops, and a dedicated Program Management Unit (PMU).
