Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a high-powered task force for examination reforms, to be led by Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani. This follows recent student protests and the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan over an alleged NEET (UG) question paper leak. The task force includes prominent figures from ISRO, IIT Madras, and other fields.
Background
The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a satirical platform, led a 37-day agitation by thousands of students in Delhi since June 21, demanding the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan and broader education sector reforms. Pradhan resigned amid the protests. The government has now constituted a task force to address examination reforms.

Nilekani graduated from IIT Bombay in 1978 and was awarded Padma Bhushan in 2006.

He served as co-chair of the G20 Task Force on Digital Public Infrastructure in January 2023.
